Being Prepared
Critical Illness, sometimes named Serious Illness, is a cover that will pay out a lump sum in the event of a diagnosis of a serious illness. These are for conditions such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, loss of limb, etc. Each provider lists out the conditions covered in their policies and there is a significant difference between the best and worst policies.
Our Independent Protection Advisers will help you find the policies that cover you for the best conditions for the lowest possible price on the market. This one stop shop allows the advisers to take into account your specific circumstances and select the policy that fits with your budget and provides good quality cover.
Should I Change My Existing Cover?
Medical science is improving all the time, and with that our understanding of critical illnesses is improving all the time. Because of this, the conditions covered in a policy are also improving. If you have not reviewed your current policy in the last 3 years, then there is a very high probability that you can dramatically improve the quality of the cover that you have.
An adviser will be able to look over your policy and compare the conditions covered against those offered by policies in todays market.
Are Children Covered?
In most modern policies, children are covered within the policy. This cover is usually a set amount (such as £25,000) that does not affect the policy if claimed. This means that if you ever did need to claim for your children to help with financial support, the policy would remain in force, with your cover unaffected.
